ELECTORAL ACT, 1992:
NOTIFICATION OF RESULT OF GENERAL ELECTION
FOR REGIONAL COUNCILS

In terms of section 92(1) of the Electoral Act, 1992 (Act No. 24 of 1992), the following
particulars in respect of the result of the general election for members of regional
councils held on 30 November 1998 and 1 December 1998 are hereby published in
the Schedule hereto, as follows (a)

in Column 1 of the said Schedule, the constituency;

(b)

in Column 2 of the said Schedule, the total number of votes and percentage
poll counted in the constituency with the total number of rejected ballot papers;

(c)

in Column 3 of the said Schedule, the name of each candidate with an indication
opposite his or her name of the political party by whom he or she was nominated
