VALUE ADDED TAX AMENDMENT TO TARIFFS FOR
TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICES

The Board ofDirectors ofTelecom Namibia Limited has under Section 22(1) and (2) of
the Post and Telecommunications Act, 1992 (Act 19 of 1992) approved the Annual
Amendment of Tariffs for Telecommunication Services with effect from 1 September
2000, as promulgated in the Government Gazette No. 2383 of27 July 2000.
In addition, the Board of Directors of Telecom Namibia also approved the additional
inclusion of Value Added Tax in the Telecommunications Tariffs, as promulgated under
the Value Added Tax Act, 2000 (Act 10 of2000). These Value Added Tax Act amendments
will be implemented with effect from 27 November 2000.
